Video circulating on social media showing the deteriorating health of renowned Sufi artist Sodhal Faqeer has prompted swift action from the provincial government. Sindh Minister for Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, issued a notice in response to the viral video.
Following the directive of Minister Shah, financial assistance is being arranged for Sodhal Faqeer, and the Department of Culture has allocated a monthly stipend for his support. Described as a stalwart of Sindhi culture, Sodhal Faqeer’s condition has evoked deep concern, with Minister Zulfiqar Shah affirming the government’s commitment to his well-being.
