Adviser to the Chief Minister Sindh on Religious Affairs, Zakat and Usher Fayyaz Ali Butt on Tuesday said that transparent distribution of Zakat to deserving people would be ensured through Zakat card and bio-metric verification.

He, in a meeting with President Sindh Bank Imran Samad, CEO M Anwar, and group heads Syed Asad Shah and Salim Shafi at Sindh Bank Head Office, further said that the bio-metric verification of deserving persons in collaboration with Sindh Bank was almost complete and it would discourage fake and ineligible persons from receiving Zakat. President Sindh Bank briefed the adviser about the process of bio-metric verification of people entitled to receive Zakat.

The CM aide said the Sindh government was fully committed to the rehabilitation of flood-affected families and they would also be given financial assistance from Zakat funds.
