LAHORE: Renowned actress Meera, associated with the Pakistani film industry, responded to a question about her marriage by saying that “you [journalists] will lead me to Doli [palanquin]”.
Responding to a journalist’s question about marriage, Meera said, “You all have to arrange my marriage; now you will all have to seat me in the traditional wedding palanquin,”.
She was addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Friday.
Earlier, in an interview, Meera had mentioned, “I am not ‘single’ by choice; it’s not that I haven’t found someone for marriage, but the reality is that people misunderstand and don’t know me well,”.
Regarding her recent injury to her hand during shooting, Meera informed, “I had fractured my hand a few days ago, but now I am feeling better,”.
When asked about Maryam Nawaz, Meera commented, “Seeing Maryam Nawaz inspires me; she works very hard and is dedicated to her work.”
