Unfair trial of prominent Kashmiri Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has once again further exposed the biasness of Indian judicial system against the Kashmiris.
Legal experts based in Srinagar in their interviews said Yasin Malik’s conviction is another proof of how fascist Modi is using courts as a state instrument to suppress the Kashmiris. They said Yasin Malik’s conviction by the Indian court through sham trial is nothing but political vendetta.
They pointed out that the Indian judiciary bypasses all the principles of law and justice when it comes to convicting Kashmiris.
Yasin Malik on his conviction said “If seeking Azadi is a crime then I am ready to accept this crime and its consequences.”
The legal experts said Modi has turned IIOJK into big open-air prison where even basic rights of people have been usurped. They maintained that Modi cannot deter Kashmiris from pursuing the freedom cause by implicating them in false cases.
“International community should take notice of Yasin Malik’s dubious trial in biased Indian court. World must act swiftly to ensure Yasin Malik’s release from Indian illegal detention,” they added.—KMS
