Hospital Administration in celebration of World Oral Health Day, an awareness seminar and walk were organized at the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana, South Waziristan. The event aimed to educate participants about the significance of oral health care and promote awareness regarding the spread of infections during dental procedures.
The event commenced with Assistant Commissioner Wana, Faisal Ismail, serving as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of World Oral Health Day in his address. He highlighted the critical role of oral health in overall well-being and encouraged participants to prioritize dental hygiene practices.
Dr. Asif Kamal, a dental surgeon, delivered a comprehensive presentation on oral health care, shedding light on preventive measures and proper dental hygiene techniques. Additionally, Dr. Inayat Ullah, the Infection Control Officer, briefed the audience on the spread of infections during dental procedures, emphasizing the importance of stringent infection control protocols.
Dr. Hammad Mahmood, the Medical Superintendent and Health Manager of DHQ Hospital Wana, presented the annual performance report of 2023, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement in healthcare services. Rahmat Ullah, President of Wana Welfare Association, also addressed the seminar, emphasizing the role of community involvement in promoting oral health awareness and encouraging proactive healthcare practices.
