The revamping and beautification project under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is underway to develop the favored the picturesque tourist spot for both domestic and international tourists with the active involvement of Community & line departments.
Planting trees, cleaning blocked drains, putting up signboards, chlorination of water tanks, Repair of street lights, wall chalking, white washing public places, Cleanliness of Public parks, offices & public places and retreaving encroachments is underway in Abbottabad district.
Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Muhammad Hassaan Ahsan told the journalists that all the line departments including Tehsil Municipal Administration of Abbottabad, Havelian, Lora & Tanawal, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Local government & Rural development, District Education offices, District Health office and National Highway Authority (NHA) have been engaged in the campaign.
He told that so far 1120 drains were cleaned which include 690 by Local government & rural development, 310 by WSSCA, 25 by TMA Abbottabad, 60 by TMA Havelian, 20 by TMA Lora and 15 drains were cleaned by TMA Lower Tanawal.
