Sindh Minister for Women Development Shahla Raza on Friday said that by strengthening women economically and providing them with equal opportunities in society, their role in national development can be made more effective. She was talking to a delegation headed by Country Director Ann Master Sun, Deputy Director James John, Research and Development Foundation Executive Director Ashfaq Soomro was also present on the occasion. The minister said that there are a number of programs under the Department that are reaching out to women. To facilitate access to the market for skilled women, the Department of Women Development has organized several fairs to enable women to get business value while establishing business contacts. She said that the department is making full efforts for the welfare of the women. In this regard, Complaint Cell has been set up under the department to timely address the issues of affected women.
