Pasban Democratic Party PDP Chairman and Pakistan Qaomi Ittehad PQI Vice President Altaf Shakoor has welcomed the winds of change in the KP, saying that election of a candidate from a Left party is the sign that voters are now rejecting the status quo and hereditary politics.
In a statement here Wednesday, he said that the victory of a Mazdoor Kissan Party (MKP) candidate, Salar Fayyaz Ali, from Tungi is a welcome surprise.
He said it is the need of the hour that people should vote on the basis of political ideology and program instead of voting on traditional feudal and tribal lines.
He said the ‘professional freeloader politicians” funded by sugar, wheat flour, fertilizer and oil mafias should be rejected to save the future of Pakistan. He said these corrupt vultures have been sucking the blood of poor masses for decades and the time has come to reject and oust them for good.
He said electing candidates from working class would bring a real political change in Pakistan. He said the real representatives of the poor masses should be sent to assemblies so that they could fight for the rights of the downtrodden Pakistanis.
Altaf Shakoor said that to break the monopoly of traditional corrupt politicians, PQI was formed and its chairman Justice retired Wajihuddin Ahmed caught the headlines when he gave statement that expenses of the house of Imran Khan at Bani Gala were paid by his billionaire cronies. He said the government spokesperson and ministers after making meek noises became silent as they had no moral courage to challenge the statement of Justice Wajihuddin in court because they know that their freeloader leadership is filthy corrupt and it is patronizing big mafias of Pakistan.
Altaf Shakoor said that a corruption-free Pakistan is their dream and from the day one his party, PDP, has been struggling for his lofty aim. He said now his party has spread to all parts of Pakistan and people from all walks of life are joining it.
He said they firmly believe that without developing the megacity Karachi, a rapid uplift of Pakistan is not possible. He said infrastructure in Karachi, especially in public transport sector, is in shambles and it needs urgent overhauling. However, both federal and provincial governments have left the megacity Karachi orphaned.
Altaf Shakoor said that for the sake of our coming generations we have to rid Pakistan from corrupt, dishonest and freeloader politicians and elect real representatives of the poor people. He said the election of the MKP candidate is good news in this regard. He hoped that these winds of a real change would soon blow also to the other parts of Pakistan.
