Mayor Karachi Barrister MurtazaWahab has welcomed the birth of two African lion and rare breed deer fawns at the Karachi\
Zoo. The Mayor instructed the zoo administration to ensure special care and attention for the newborns, said a statement. He said that this is to ensure the protection and breeding of rare wild animals at the zoo, while also providing citizens with the opportunity to observe these animals up close.
According to details, after the birth of two cubs to the African lion pair at the Karachi Zoo, the cubs have been kept in a highly observed environment, separate from other animals, following the zoological animal kids care procedures to ensure their health is fully protected. In addition to the African lion cubs, the zoo has also welcomed the birth of one fawn each of the rare white and black deer, and three spotted deer fawns. This has further increased the number of beautiful and rare deer in the deer enclosure. Sources from Karachi Zoo have stated that visitors, especially children including many students, feel immense joy in seeing the wild lions up close in their designated enclosure.
This is why special arrangements are made for the breeding and health protection of African and other breeds of lions at the zoo. Furthermore, steps are taken to provide quality food and health care for other animals, ensuring a suitable and appropriate environment in various cages, enclosures, and areas of the zoo, and maintaining a continuous system for the care and feeding of the animals.
