Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Adviser for Law, Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that we are important in society andpeople follow political leaders and media persons because people see and hear us and if we wear masks then people should also wear masks also.
We must protect ourselves and our families from the Coronavirus and we must all feel responsible.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Ferrier Hall.Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that this would make it easier to control the Indian variant or Indian conspiracy. In the last few days, the media-assisted public awareness campaign had had a positive impact.
In one day, 222,000 people had been vaccinated in Sindh. Now this number has increased from 50,000 to over 200,000 and now 11 vaccination centers had been activated round the clock.
He said that he was grateful to the management of DarulUloomKorangi for setting up the vaccination camp and now Ulema and students are getting vaccinated there. “Today, inshallah, we would achieve our target of two and a half lakh. For this, full cooperation of the people is requested.”
Barrister Murtaza Wahab further said that there was a lot of rush at the vaccination centers which was causing distress to the people and we were aware of this so we should follow the SOPs.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab also said that we would set up more vaccination centers and now it had been decided to activate more mobile units for which we had invited mobile units from other districts of Sindh to Karachi.
