The Minimum Wages Board has proposed an increase of up to 15.62 percent in wage rates for all worker categories, as per the Labour& Human Resources Department, Government of Sindh Notification No. (L-II)-13-3/2016-1 dated November 10, 2023.

This adjustment will apply to all categories of workers, including Semi-Skilled, Skilled, and Highly Skilled, as outlined in the attached schedule for 50 different industries.

The new wage rates, effective from July 1, 2024, are set as follows: Semi-Skilled: Rs. 38,280, Skilled: Rs. 45,910, Highly Skilled: Rs. 47,868. These revised rates ensure that the minimum wages for Semi-Skilled, Skilled, and Highly Skilled workers will not fall below the updated minimum wage rates specified for each category.
