Basic items affordable for poor people?
The basic human need is to live a better life and to survive in a society. Provision of food and live a healthy life. But prices are high for basic items like flour, vegetable, sugar and medicines etc. Why does not govt control the prices of these items of daily life? Two years and a few months have passed since PTI came into power. Economy is not stable, negativity and criticism are everywhere. But the question is: why poor and middle class people have to suffer?
In this society rich is going richer and poor is getting poorer day by day. A person with low income cannot afford to buy many medicines. People who have to take medicines daily on account of some health issues cannot afford and are in trouble. Government should realize that the prices are much higher. Government should take care of its citizens. Common man wants that whichever the ruling party, it should work for the betterment of the society and take care of the basic needs because larger population of Pakistan is not rich and they cannot afford many basic needs as well.

Common man in the lurch
Today in Pakistan, it is too tough to survive. Doubtlessly, heavy wave of inflation has blown over all the dreams and sources of a common man. Moreover, when there was the first lockdown in the entire country that time only common and source-less people had to suffer more due to closure of business, but unfortunately besides Corona, there ware other viruses that were spreading harassment, terror and looting them up to the hilt. As a matter of fact, there was no law against bribe, no law for rowdies and no law for the wild beasts. Why? Why always a common man is hunted by such kind of bad eggs?
However, during lockdown there was hue and cry of the needy and the poor. On the other hand, there were celebrations of getting huge amount of hush per day, as we can say that there, each day of lockdown was not less than any Eid for the aforesaid beasts. Corruption, injustice and wild beasts have been a burning question for the whole country. Consequently, these issues must be solved out and out to secure every common man in the time of lurch. Still such kind of anti-social elements are prevailing in society.

Let’s celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali
Just like Christmas, Diwali is one of the loveliest festivals in India. But sadly, people are forgetting the real meaning of Diwali. For them it is not a festival of lights, but a festival of crackers. With every household burning crackers, noise pollution and air pollution increases and it causes more sickness to the already sick and suffering people. Diwali must be celebrated in an eco-friendly manner. Noisy crackers and those emitting a lot of toxic gases should not be burned. People are prone to breathing problems when they inhale smoke. Those suffering from asthma, bronchitis and hypertension suffer a lot. If we cannot refrain from burning crackers, then let us at least make Diwali safe. Plastic sheets from rooftop of houses should be removed in order to avoid accidental fires during Diwali, especially when burning dangerous firecrackers like rockets and atom bombs.
Every year we waste crores of rupees on bursting crackers during Diwali. Why can’t we use the same money for the uplift of the poor? There are millions of people all over the world who can’t even have two square meals of food to eat a day. Instead of spending money on crackers which goes up in smoke, we should donate the same money to an orphanage or a home for the aged. At least the people who are left to die there by their ungrateful children will feel happy.

Zimbabwean road traffic victims
It is highly disturbing and horrible that many Zimbabweans die annually through road traffic accidents. Zimbabwean roads have become dangerous death traps because they are not properly maintained, constructed and they are not fit for purpose. Besides that, the careless, clueless and corrupt ZANU PF government has failed to ensure that the potholes, dilapidated road signages are fixed to ensure safe travelling for drivers. There are plenty of roads without proper bridges.
President Mnangagwa who came after Mugabe promised to fix the transport network system in Zimbabwe and it’s now two years since his inauguration and nothing tangible improvements have been done. An average 2000 people die in road accidents and 15,000 are injured every year. Road accidents are caused by over-speeding of vehicles, reckless driving and which the corrupt centred Zimbabwe traffic police are not bothered by these drivers who drink and drive and drive recklessly but are mainly interested in demanding bribes which is outrageous.
The Zimbabwean traffic police should be law enforcers acting on behalf of the government and the people of Zimbabwe. However, they have become demanders of bribes in all circumstances as if they have been employed sorely for the purposes of collecting bribes. Many road traffic victims who are alive in Zimbabwe will blame the Zimbabwean government for its failure to build and maintain roads that are safe, sound and sane. The only thing that will come to the minds of all Zimbabweans during the World Road Traffic Victims Day is that President Mnangagwa has failed to resuscitate, maintain and build decent roads.
