School mafia

A parent’s complain that they are paying the fee, but their child isn’t getting education. And teacher’s complain that schools are getting the fee, but aren’t paying them. I am a mass communication student from University of Karachi (evening) and a part time teacher as well.
Teacher is a professional but nowadays being teacher is a depression when your school management holding you or fire you because they cannot afford your salary from fee, then why they are open? I want to share a problem that at this crucial time our school is violating the Coronavirus ordinance of the Sindh Government and there are no safety measures for teachers, they are risking their life and not getting paid for their 24-hour job because all teachers are going online and all of a sudden without even a single notice management put teachers on hold.
Why? They are taking fee from parents and parents are paying for teachers because they are providing education to their children, school is just a platform where teachers and students meet. Without children, school has no meaning same as without teachers school is nothing. Cutting down staff taking all work from a few teachers and they think they can provide quality education to students? Really one teacher can teach anything I accept but burden single teacher is not a solution.
If I talk about myself, first they let me do all the work and then kept on hold without giving me my pay. And now they are saying me to resign because if they fire me right now they have to pay me the security deposit at the moment that’s the official rule. I hope Sindh Government will take action because many of the teachers are facing this cruel management policy and there is no one who can stand for them and if someone is standing for their right they are getting kicked off from school without getting pay.

A-level students need help

I am a student of BSIR and today I came up with an issue which most of our O/Alevel students face. I personally faced this issue at my time too. I am not here to criticize any organization or individual but this is just to bring this into the notice of the authorities so they can resolve this issue so that in future our brilliant minds would prefer staying in Pakistan rather than going abroad for studying.
The Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen that is responsible to provide Cambridge students equivalency certificate “which is a proof that O or A-level is recognized in our country” takes normally 20 to 25 days for processing. And they require the original documents which are also bit insecure for the students. Not only this after paying high amount of money for the Cambridge international examination (CIE), we pay 2000 rupees as a processing fee, which is not really friendly.
Not finished yet, the universities in Pakistan don’t consider your application until you get your equivalency certificate. Now the problem is that CIE conducts a bit late than matriculation examination. Now I would like to ask: is it the students who made this scenario or do you think the students would be directing their selves to Cambridge Board for such issues?
I would say no, this is the duty of our education board to make this situation better for students, as you have made a board for recognizing these students’ degree, it means you allow this system here. Opinion: I would urge our education board to take some good initiative for Cambridge students so that they (students) can take part in brightening our beloved country’s name.

Unease of sleepwalking

Sleepwalking is a disorder that causes you to get up and walk while you’re asleep. Your doctor might call it somnambulism.
It usually happens when you’re going from a deep stage of sleep to a lighter stage or coming awake. You can’t respond while you’re sleepwalking and usually don’t remember it. In some cases, you may talk and not make sense. Sleepwalking mostly happens to children, usually between the ages of 4 and 8. But adults can do it, too.
If you or a loved one is a sleepwalker, it’s important to create a safe environment. Lock doors and windows, move sharp objects and install gates at the top of stairs
Sleepwalking is usually simple to diagnose. Your doctor will ask about your symptoms and medical history. They might need to do some tests to find out whether a medical condition is making you sleepwalk. Changing a few lifestyle habits might help you stop sleepwalking. Stick to a sleep schedule and have a relaxing bedtime routine. If you drink or use drugs, stop.

Coronavirus

While it is possible to get infected from Coronavirus from an object or a surface, most infections occur through breathing, direct personal contact or sharing food or dishes or beverages closely. Also, people who breathe more heavily are more likely to both transmit and receive the virus.
If one person in a household gets Coronavirus, they are very likely to infect other people. People infected with Coronavirus, whether they have symptoms are not, exhale virus particles in the same way that a smoker or vaper exhales smoke. If you could smell a person’s cigarette or vape smoke, you could get Coronavirus from them. An infected person who wears a mask is much less likely to spread the virus, even if the mask is just a bandana. A bandana mask also reduces your chances of getting the virus from someone else by about 50%.

Muslims lacks effective leadership

Gone are the days of 1960s and 1970s when the Muslim Ummah possessed strong, capable, visionary, effective and sincere leadership, for the resolution of the problems, being faced by the Muslim countries of the world, during those days. The names of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (Pakistan), Shah Faisal (Saudi Arabia), Yasir Arafat (Palestine), Colonel Muammar Qaddafi (Libya), and Suharto (Indonesia), can safely be cited here in this regard. The past history is witness to the fact that the above mentioned Muslim political leaders did play their positive and sincere role in sensitizing the world conscience for the Muslim world, for the resolution of their genuine political and economic issues confronting with the outside world.
Currently, except for the personality of Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, we hardly find a towering Muslim personality at the global level who can stand against the various injustices of the so-called mighty powers against their fellow brothers in various Muslim and non-Muslim countries of world. Accordingly, currently, Muslim Ummah badly lacks political leadership which is visionary and is capable of steering the Muslim Ummah out of its present mess.

Online classes & harassment issues

Coronavirus has affected each and every person directly or indirectly. Students who have been wrecked throughout these isolated months are struggling hard to cope with this patience demanding situation. Since online education system of Pakistan has made students to go through mental stress regarding their career being at stake, it has also generated some severe issues within the online education system like harassment and cyber security.
Many of the students especially girls have been harassed and blackmailed through online sessions. But the issue becomes a suffering when administration of universities put a deaf ear to this very serious problem. There should be proper check and balance of attendants of the classes and the administration should have recorded information of online classes and its participants. Otherwise the sufferer would only be the student who has to be at risk just to save his/her semester.
