DUBAI – The Consul General of United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Pakistan Dr Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi shared an update about the alleged visa restrictions on Pakistanis.
Dr Remeithi cleared the air as the rumors caused concerns among Pakistanis who are looking to travel to Gulf country for employment and other purposes. As of 2024, more than 15lac Pakistanis are in Emirates, which makes Pakistani diaspora one of the leading communities.
UAE Visa Update
To clear air amid uncertainty, UAE Consul General assured Pakistani citizens that there are no visa restrictions currently in place for travel to the UAE. He responded to the development as Sindh residents faced hard times getting UAE visas.
A clip shared by him shows consulate general confirming that Pakistani businessmen, workers, and individuals seeking medical treatment are being provided with the all available facilities.
Dr Remeithi underscored Abu Dhabi’s strong cultural, religious, and trade ties with Asian nation, which have developed over decades, and affirmed country’s full support in visa issuance for Pakistani nationals.
He further sheds light on new awareness program at Karachi Consulate aimed at assisting passengers, advising individuals traveling to United Arab Emirates to avoid carrying prohibited items and to pack their own luggage to avoid any issues.
Consulate General also mentioned new initiative to support the business community, which will facilitate business visits and support UAE companies’ investments in Pakistan.
