USKT to set up Afro-Pak connection together with Pak Embassy in Ribat

The University of Sialkot (USKT) will be the first university to establish African study centre in Pakistan. The development is backed by Embassy of Pakistan in Ribat, Morocco.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Kingdom of Morocco His Excellency Hamid Asghar Khan addressed students, scholars and academicians at University of Sialkot and unveiled potential of Africa with regard to new opportunities particularly in the areas of technology, trade and investment.

The ambassador with a pointer in hand illustrated Geo-strategic implications of collaborations with African countries particularly Morocco.

He urged USKT leaders to step forward and venture with Moroccan Universities in the areas of mutual interest.

Today growth and development is product of international connections, when countries failed to connect with other countries they become more and more isolated, he said.

While addressing the session, University of Sialkot Executive Director Muhammad Rehan Younas lauded the visit of ambassador and briefed his Excellency about the potential of the varsity to steer a course of research & collaborations with African countries.

He said University of Sialkot is envisioned to impart a regional impact while influencing global intellectual property.

University of Sialkot Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Saeedul Hassan Chishti emphasised on importance of international linkages and termed it a way to network effectively with academia and industry of other countries.

He assured full support of USKT to the ambassador to establish African study Centre. The session was attended by a number of students.
