Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and all her admirers — are celebrating her birthday, as she turns 24, nine years after she survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban.
Secretary General United Nations Antonio Guterres also wishes to Malala in his official tweet.
Sharing a photo of herself surrounded by numerous pink-hued ‘2’ and ‘4’ balloons to Twitter, Malala wrote, “242, 42, or 24… age is just a number!”.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner also posted an image to her Instagram page, where she’s seen standing with loved ones over a cake.
In his tweets Secretary General Antonio Guterres said i wish a very happy birthday to Malala.
