UAE Red Crescent provides relief to fire victims

The UAE Red Crescent Authority on Friday provided urgent relief assistance to the affectees of Teen Hatti fire incident. This urgent assistance comes within the framework of the continuous support provided by the United Arab Emirates to the brothers in Pakistan under the guidance of the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of UAE
The aid comes in response to the urgent humanitarian calls launched by the people who lost the most basic commodities of survival.
The staff members of UAE consulate in Karachi, headed by His Excellency Dr. Salem Al-Khaddeim Al-Dhanhani, the Consul General of UAE, accompanied by Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani went to the incident site where they met the affected 150 families in order to meet their needs and distribute relief aid to hundreds of residents who are already suffering from deteriorating economic conditions.
The people expressed their happiness with this urgent relief within few days after the fire. The campaign which is carried out by the Emirates Red Crescent in cooperation with the Consulate General of UAE and Commissioner of Karachi, helped in alleviating the sufferings of the affected families their suffering.
In a statement, the UAE’s Consul General emphasized that the UAE was keen to provide relief and humanitarian support to brothers in Pakistan, which is not the first initiative neither the last. The UAE relief assistance included 200 comprehensive food baskets, 200 blankets, 100 jackets , 300 different clothes and basic items lost in fire.
