DUBAI – The nationals of United Arab Emirates (UAE) can apply for the renewal of a passport that has expired or is about to expire less than 6 months by using various channels designated by the Government of Dubai for this purpose.
It is necessary to get the passport renewed timely as no one is allowed to board flights or enter other country without the valid travel document.
The Dubai government has made the process for applying for the renewal of passport easy to facilitate the citizens.
Where to Apply for Passport Renewal in UAE
The applicant can use digital channels or visit the Customer Happiness Center to apply for the renewal. Following are the processes:
Digital channels (website/smart application):
- Log in to the smart services system through (UAE Pass or username).
- Search for the service to be applied for.
- Fill in the application data, where applicable.
- Pay the service fee (if any).
Customer Happiness Center:
- Visit the nearest Customer Happiness Center.
- Get the automated turn ticket and wait.
- Submitting the application that fulfils all conditions and documents (if any) to the customer service employee.
- Pay the service fee (if any).
- Approving and sending the approved request by e-mail.
Emirati Passport Renewal Fee
As per official website of Government of Dubai, the UAE passport renewal fee stands at 55 AED plus 5% value added tax (VAT).
