Eid is a major event in UAE, and parts of the world and is celebrated by Muslims with great enthusiasm. Residents of Islamic states are now observing fasts and eagerly waiting for Eidul Fitr.
This year Eidul Fitr is expected to start in the middle of week in United Arab Emirates, but the holidays will start couple of days earlier in line with the first weekend.
Lately, the chairman of Emirates Astronomical Association shared prediction about Moon sighting. As per the prediction, Eidul Fitr 2024 is slated to be held this year, a day later than previously anticipated dates.
Next month, the birth of Shawwal Crescent will coincide with a total solar eclipse April 8, 2024, its birth before midnight will mean that it can be seen after sunset the next day in UAE and other Gulf regions. Eid holidays will start on 29th day of Ramadan, and April 10-12 will be key days of Islamic event.
UAE residents will have two weekends to combine with Eid holidays, allowing people to have total of nine consecutive days off. This extended break will allow UAE masses to relax, spend time with family, and celebrate Eid without having to worry about work.

United Arab Emirates government has not announced Eid holidays, and the official announcement is yet to be made in the coming days.
