In a recent development, UAE announced video conference weddings and marriage contracts by text message.
The announcement was made by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department rolling out an instant marriage certificate, ending the cumbersome process and waiting time.
ADJD also mentioned that all couples in Abu Dhabi can tie the knot on video calls and can receive their marriage certificate instantly using text message service.
