ABU DHABI – United Arab Emirates continues to implement widespread changes in its civil family laws. The Middle Eastern nation now made it easier for couples to marry without visiting ADJD office.

Lately, the authorities rolled out a new service in Abu Dhabi, allowing couples to get marriage contracts via text messages and other digital channels and that’s in short period.

In a recent development, UAE announced video conference weddings and marriage contracts by text message.

The announcement was made by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department rolling out an instant marriage certificate, ending the cumbersome process and waiting time.

ADJD also mentioned that all couples in Abu Dhabi can tie the knot on video calls and can receive their marriage certificate instantly using text message service.

Officials called service evidence to the department’s commitment to excellence in judicial and notarial sectors.

UAE makes digital weddings possible, and the following are steps to get hitched without visiting the government office.

  • First Step is to submit a marriage application online. Submit the application along with you UAE Pass to access the service on Abu Dhabi Judicial Department website.
  • At the platform, applicants can finalise procedures online. Pick in-person ceremony or a video-call marriage option.
  • Set a date, and book your appointment.
  • Once you are done with marriage session, the digital contract is promptly delivered.
  • The marriage contracts can be shared through official channels using e-signature.
