LAHORE – As all government and private schools are set to reopen on August 15 (Thursday) in Lahore following the long summer vacation 2024, the Punjab government has announced new timings and schedule of weekly offs.

Punjab School Education Department has issued the notification, announcing the new timings for the schools after summer break.

As per the notification, schools operating in single shift will open at 8am and close at 1:30pm from Monday to Thursday while classes will end at 12pm on Fridays.

For double shifts and afternoon shifts, the morning session will start at 8am and end at 12pm, the afternoon session will begin at 1pm to 5:30 pm, and the evening shift will be held from 2pm to 5:30pm on Fridays.

Two Weekly Offs for Schools in Lahore from August 15

All public and private schools will get two weekly offs, starting from August 15, said the notification. It states that the schools will also remain closed on Saturday along with Sunday.
