Two Documentaries of emerging Director Producer of Pakistan Kamran Jawaid has been selected for
‘First Time Filmmaker Festival 2022’titled as ‘Karachiwala in Islamabad – Karachi Resident in Islamabad’ and ‘Naqaab Posh – Masked Face’. These documentaries will be screened at Pinewood Studios, UK and
Raleigh Studios, Hollywood during the month of February 2022.
Producer and director of documentaries Kamran Jawaid expressed his heartiest gratitude with positive hope for the documentary industry of Pakistan. He expressed that we must show the positive and beautiful face of Pakistan instead of highlighting the bad aspects of the country.
He said that basically documentary is a process to present a document on screen and for this in-depth research and study required; but unfortunately, every man who can handle camera, perceived as a documentary maker and that’s the main reason for lacking international representation of Pakistani productions.
Kamran Jawaid also appreciates the productions produce by mobile phone cameras. But he asked to mandatory the film making course, if someone is in planning to produce some content by mobile phone camera.
Otherwise he they can’t compete internationally script wise, direction wise and editing wise. Kamran Jawaid shared that new technology has opened new doors and new ways for the film makers and new film makers. Now we don’t need expensive cameras and expensive editing suit, because everything is possible on mobile phone cameras.
