Three individuals involved in the illegal possession and transportation of explosives have been sentenced to a 10-year prison term each by the Khairpur Anti-Terrorism Court. The arrests occurred on June 16, 2022, when the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sukkur apprehended Naveed Ahmed, Shahzeb Khan, and Syed Qasim for their roles in transporting illicit explosives.
The confiscated items included 974 detonators, 181 safety fuses, and 1000 meters of explosive wire. Following their conviction on terrorism-related charges, the ATC Khairpur handed down a 10-year imprisonment sentence for each offender, marking a significant step in combating terrorism and ensuring public safety.
