OUR security forces continue to render sacrifices in the fight against terrorists. While terrorism has been overcome to a great deal in most parts of the country, the menace still poses threat in strategically located Balochistan province.
Seven paramilitary troops were martyred in two separate terrorist attacks in Balochistan on Tuesday which took place more than a week after a similar deadly attack on security forces near the Pak-Iran border. The two deadly attacks on the Frontier Corps (FC) in less than two weeks speak volume of the precarious situation in the province where hostile agencies have been bankrolling and aiding separatist and terrorist groups to create instability. The very statements of Indian military officials are on record admitting on the television screens support to Baloch separatist groups. Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav who was arrested back in 2016 in his confessional statement also admitted that he had been sent by RAW on a mission to stoke terrorism especially in Balochistan and Karachi. The fact of the matter is that peace and prosperity of Pakistan is not digestible to our arch enemy India. It is especially targeting Balochistan as the resource-rich province which is also the mouthpiece of multibillion dollar CPEC has the potential to change the entire economic landscape of Pakistan. Time has come to break the evil nexus between Indian agency RAW and Baloch separatist groups through a well-planned strategy. The situation could further deteriorate in the province, if the Indian hands were not cut. Terrorism remains India’s only ground to hurt Pakistan. The process of negotiations with the estranged Baloch leaders must be initiated. Then those not surrendering and resorting to violence must be taken to task. Last year, the US itself had branded Baloch Liberation Army a global terrorist organization. Since India is abetting such organizations, our leadership must also intensify efforts at the international forums to expose India’s evil plots and its proxies in Balochistan. The world especially the important Muslim countries must also recognize the true {evil} face of India while rising above political and economic expediency.
