The financial bid opening for the outsourcing of Islamabad International Airport took place on Thursday at the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) Headquarters. The TERG Consortium, which participated in the bidding process, submitted a financial proposal offering a 47.25 percent concession fee on the project’s scope, which is lower than the reference percentage of 56 percent set by the PAA.
The proposal is now set to undergo a comprehensive evaluation by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is acting as the transaction advisor. The IFC will deliver their assessment report to the PAA by January 9, 2025. Following the review, the final decision on awarding the concession will be made by the PAA Board, with the final approval expected from the Federal Cabinet.
