TDAP in collaboration with ITC holds seminar on ‘Women-in-Trade’

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), in collaboration with International Trade Centre (ITC), organized a seminar on ‘Women-in-Trade: Export Readiness 101’ at Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta for the capacity building of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan.

This was the second in a series of planned seminars throughout Pakistan, leading to the upcoming WEXNET exhibition scheduled for February 2022 in Lahore.

Dr. Shumaila Sikandar (Deputy Director TDAP) informed about incentives being provided by TDAP to empower women to join trade.

Mr. Muhammad Shoaib Zafar Adviser, (Trade Policy, ITCReMIT) briefed about technical assistance under Revenue Mobilization Investment and Trade (ReMIT) Project and activities carried out especially for Women Businesses in Pakistan. Ms. Zaiba Bakhtiar, emphasized on potential of women entrepreneurs in region.Mr. Adeel Haider Mankee (ITC Consultant) gave presentation on market & product research, product development, business modeling, company/tax registration, marketing tools, export-related procedures, logistics and payment processes.
