Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar has commended the PTV Sports’ live transmission of the recently-concluded T20 World Cup 2024 and noted that the PTV Sports had achieved a milestone by not only providing live coverage of each single match of the T20 series and the events related to it but also given experts’ analysis of the game on a daily basis.

The live transmission of T20 World Cup titled ‘Game on Hai’ has been watched and liked across the country and abroad and we have received quite a positive feedback about it. The Minister expressed these views while addressing an award giving ceremony hosted jointly by the PTV Sports, HMR Waterfront.
Among the guests of honour on the occasion included CEO of HMR Group, Mr Hasnain Pardesi, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Mr Faisal Zahid Malik, CEO of Saima Builders Mr Zeeshan Zaki and Director of the Benori Group Mr Zeeshan Ahmed. Federal Secretary Information, Shahera Shahid, MD PTV, Sayyed Mubashar Tauqir and Director Sports, Osama Azhar and senior officials of the Information Ministry and the PTV were there to acknowledge and honour the efforts of their team in making the live show ‘Game on Hai’ that won hearts of the millions of the cricket fans in the world.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were also given on the occasion to cricket legends Younis Khan, Muhammad Hafeez, New Zeland’s former cricketer Martin Guptill, Australia’s well known anchor and showbiz celebrity, Erin Holland and the Pakistani host of the programme ‘Game on Hai’ Roha Nadeem.
The Information Minister also praised the management of the PTV, particularly the Sports head and team. He particularly mentioned the hosts of the programme ‘Game on Hai’ for giving a candid, fair and interesting commentary of each team as well as the match played during the mega event.
