Russian President Vladimir Putin was awarded an uncharacteristically grand welcome as he arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.
Putin landed in the Gulf nation in a crucial visit and he is slated to visit Saudi Arabia to share views with Arab leaders about the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, and other matters including oil production will come under discussion.
Abu Dhabi is hosting the COP28 UN climate summit, and Moscow has not said whether the Russian President will appear or not. UAE accords grand welcome as the government shares video of fighter jets escorting Putin.

Putin’s rare visit made headlines as he earlier skipped top conferences like Brics, and G20 summit.
Kremlin said the Russian president will discuss strategies for de-escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Putin and Arab leaders will also discuss the situation in Syria, Yemen, and Sudan.
Putin will also interact with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to discuss the war in Gaza.
