The Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology has received around 11 thousand applications for Prime Minister Hunarmand Pakistan Programme among which six thousand candidates have been interviewed so far. Sir Syed University offers six short courses including Game Development and Modelling, Internet of Things (IOT), Certificate in Cisco Network Administrator, Project Management Professional, Block Chain Programming and Industrial Automation. This vocational training programmme is free of cost and course duration is 6 months. Minimum qualification for admission in these courses require intermediate/diploma or higher. The purpose of Prime Minister Hunarmand PakistanProgramme is to make the young people able enough to gain a skill and hands-on experience so that they can earn their place in the market of their relevant fields. Both male and female candidates across the country can apply for the training sessions.Young generation can get opportunities to excel in their respective fields through this programme. It will be implemented all across Pakistan including Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. SSGC carries out inspection of 10 industries The Sui Southern gas Company has intensified Operation Girft Phase 11 in its franchise area Sindh and Balochistan. SSGC’s team has commenced survey/ inspection of Industries in accordance to their GSA and Gas load, meters and other technical appliances. In this regard, SSGC teams from measurement, sales, and SS&CGTO carried out a joint survey in Karachi, in which thorough inspection of five industries was carried out. The industries included; M/s Hasmat dyeing, M/s Mehtab Garments, Shahnawaz n Coy, Chhepa Textile, and Ghuasia Dyeing, M/S the dyers, Musa and Salim, Multi Rod Products, Baksh Feed And allied products, and Sualin Brothers. The team will be taking strict action against these industries on violation of Gas Sales Agreement, along with Extra Connected Load and Meter Size. In Nawabshah, the team unearthed two cases of direct gas theft from, by two commercial businesses. A hotel & power generation business, along with a Fast Food business were found to be stealing gas with a total connected load of 680cft/hr and 275cft/hr respectively. Another raid was carried out in Landhi, Karachi, where 3000 defaulter residents were found to be stealing gas. –PR
