The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) achieved a remarkable milestone by amassing a record-breaking revenue of Rs185.2 billion during the initial nine months of the 2023-24 fiscal year. This accomplishment marks a substantial 29% increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous financial year. Chairman of SRB, WasifMemon, met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to deliver the news of the organization’s stellar revenue performance.
Despite facing numerous economic challenges, including a broader slowdown in the economy, the SRB demonstrated unwavering resilience and operational efficiency in revenue collection. Highlighting the significance of this achievement, the Chief Minister noted the exceptional growth rate of 29%, attributing it to the SRB’s proactive strategies and diligent efforts. Even amidst the backdrop of economic adversities, the board’s adept management led to this substantial boost in revenue collection.
In a breakdown of recent figures, it was revealed that during April 2024 alone, the SRB collected Rs18.8 billion, marking a notable increase from the Rs15.2 billion collected in April 2023. This impressive 23% growth underscores the consistent upward trajectory in revenue generation, reflecting the SRB’s commitment to fiscal excellence.
