In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the so-called security arrangements have been beefed up in Jammu and its adjoining district ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Samba district on Sunday.

Officials said that a five-layer security deployment was put in place for the Indian Prime Minister and other Very important persons (VIPs) which includes personnel from elite Special Protection Group (SPG), Central Armed Police Force, Jammu Kashmir Police’s Crisis Response Team, Special Operations Group and police officials.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for crowd management at border Village Palli, where Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public gathering, mainly drawing from Jammu, Kathua and Samba district by BJP, the officials said.

It is pertinent to note that this would be Modi’s first visit to IIOJK since the abrogation of special status of the territory on August 05, 2019.—KMS
