A six-year-old child died after being mauled by a stray dog in Yasmeen Park area of the City on Sunday.
Father of the child said that his son Bilal was playing in the park when a stray dog bit him in the neck.
He was being taken to hospital by he succumbed to his wound on the way. The bereaved father said that the government should taken measures to avoid such incidents.
The Lahore Commissioner has taken notice of the incident and sought a report on the matter from CEO health and chief corporation Lahore.
Meanwhile, 11 persons including women and children were mauled by stray dogs in different areas of Zafarwal area of Narowal district.
According to Rural Health Centre (RHC) Zafarwal In-charge Dr Abu Zar, 11 persons including women and children were brought to the RHC after bitten by stray dogs. He claimed that the injured with vaccinated against dog bite at the RHC.
He informed that at least 103 people affected by dog bite were brought to the RHC Zafarwal during last one month.
