Six killed, 11 injured in clash

At least six people were killed and 11 others sustained bullet wounds during an armed clash over land dispute here on Thursday.

According to police, the deadly armed clash took place over land dispute between two groups in which both the groups freely used weapons over each other in Lower Kurram area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

As a result, six of the people were killed on the spot, while 11 others sustained injuries. Getting the information, the police along with rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to Parachinar hospital.

Meanwhile, in Sheikhupura eight people were injured in collision between over speeding mini-truck and a van here on Thursday.

As a result of accident, eight people were seriously injured who were shifted to THQ Hospital Muridke for treatment.

The police impounded both vehicles and after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
