Six additional judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC) were sworn in as regular judges on Saturday, marking a significant development in the judiciary. Chief Justice SHC Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi administered the oath to the newly regularized judges. All six of them had previously served as additional judges of the high court since their appointment in 2023. With their induction, the number of permanent judges in the high court has now reached 32, although there are still eight vacant seats awaiting appointments.

The newly sworn-in judges are Justice Amjad Ali Bohio, Justice Sana Akram Minhas, Justice Jawad Akbar Sarwana, Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, Justice Abdul Rehman, and Justice Arbab Ali Hakro. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by judges of the high court, representatives from the Bar association, and senior lawyers. Family members of the newly appointed judges were also present to witness the occasion.
