KARACHI – Despite pledges from education authorities, the cheating mafia reigned in Sindh and continues to leak the question papers for decades.
To deal with the menace, Sindh provincial administration government has decided to outsource matric and intermediate board exams as annual papers were marred by complaints of irregularities.
In this regard, the Department of Boards and Universities approached heads of all matric and intermediate education boards in the region.
A letter sent to board members said “Due to several complaints about maladministration and corrupt practices in conducting the examinations and compiling the results of SSC and HSC, Minister for Universities & Boards Department Ismail Rahoo, in his capacity as controlling authority, has granted approval to outsourcing the examination system from the forthcoming annual examination 2023 by all boards in a phased manner”.
It directed officials of all relevant boards to complete all the needed paperwork for outsourcing through an open competitive bidding process.
