Sindh govt to present 2024-25 budget on June 14

The Sindh government is set to present the fiscal year 2024-25 budget on Friday, June 14. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the budget in the Sindh Assembly at 3 pm.

A letter from the provincial finance department indicated that the Sindh cabinet will convene at the CM House to approve the FY24-25 budget.

In parallel, the federal government is scheduled to unveil its budget for the next financial year, 2024-2025, Wednesday. Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the budget on the National Assembly floor. Government sources stated, “The budget aimed at alleviating people’s hardships, transforming the agriculture sector, promoting information technology (IT), and boosting exports.” They also emphasized fiscal management, revenue mobilization, economic stabilization and growth, reduction in non-development expenditures, job creation, and people-friendly policies for socioeconomic prosperity as key features of the budget.
