Sindh govt scolded for no action on Baldia tragedy

Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Isaaf (PTI) leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi on Friday asked the provincial the government to explain on the actions taken against accused after two Joint Investigation Team (JIT) reports regarding Uzair Baloch have come to light while elements involved in the Baldia Town tragedy have also been identified. Firdous Shamim Naqvi while taking a jibe at the Sindh education minister asked Saeed Ghani to tell why the culprits behind he the assassination of Murtaza Bhutto were not arrested, adding that why the investigation report into his murder is made public. The opposition leader while rejecting the statement of Saeed Ghani said that the investigation report of the JIT members should not be taken lightly. He demanded information on when the case against Rao Anwar would be heard. Naqvi said that it was the prime responsiblity of K-Electric to provide uninterrupted electric supply to the citizens but it had failed to do so. Commercial areas of the city were closed and 33 percent electric demand of the city had already decreased. ‘The business sector of the city is trembling, NEPRA has to respond on the tarrif issue, whole Pakistan should have a same tarrif,’ he said. He added that PTI was a democratic party where every worker had right to raise voice against any injustice.
