Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori visited the mazar of Shaheed Millat Liaquat Ali Khan on the occasion of his martyrdom anniversary.

Governor Sindh recited surah Fatiha, placed flowers and offered special prayers for the progress and prosperity of the province and the country.

Governor Sindh also recorded his comments in the guest book regarding Liaquat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. Later, talking to the media representatives, Governor Sindh said that I have come here to pay homage to Liaquat Ali Khan, the first elected Prime Minister of the country.

He said that October 16,1951 is the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, because on that day the first elected Prime Minister of the country was martyred. Governor Sindh said that Pakistan was the love of Shaheed Millat, for the solidarity of which he worked day and night.
He was the right hand of the Quaid-i-Azam, that is why the father of the nation elected him as the first Prime Minister of the country. Governor Sindh added, He further said that Liaquat Ali Khan struggled along with the Quaid-e-Azam to stabilize the newly established state. Even after the death of the father of the nation, he continued his mission, Governor Sindh observed.

He said that he was martyred for loving Pakistan and  even at the time of martyrdom, he was worried about the security of Pakistan. Governor Sindh said that the young generation needed to be made aware of the services of Shaheed Millat because the way Liaquat Ali Khan served the country and the nation is unparalleled.
Answering a question about the by-elections, Governor Sindh said that the people must use their right of vote and all political parties must abide by the code of conduct and accept victory and defeat as this is the beauty of democracy.

On another question, Governor Sindh said that we need to be united so that the problems faced by the country and the province can be resolved. He further said that there is a dire need for national unity and consensus due to two years of Corona and now flood calamity.
