Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Tessori held a productive meeting with the French Consul General, Alexis Chahtahtinsky, at the Governor House here on Tuesday. The discussions centered on bilateral relations, investment opportunities, trade promotion, and other areas of mutual interest.
Governor Tessori emphasized the longstanding and evolving ties between Pakistan and France, highlighting the ongoing efforts to strengthen these relations. He underscored the potential for enhancing the provincial infrastructure through French investment, foreseeing significant improvements in various sectors.
Expressing optimism, Governor Tessori noted the supportive role of international financial institutions like the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in facilitating external investment. He welcomed French investors, especially in the energy sector, recognizing their keen interest in investment opportunities. During the visit, the French Consul General toured prominent landmarks in Karachi, including the IT Park, Rashan Drive, and the Bell of Hope. Impressed by the developmental initiatives undertaken by the Sindh government, the Consul General commended Governor Tessori for his proactive measures. In a gesture of cultural exchange, Governor Tessori presented traditional Sindhi attire and a token of appreciation to the French Consul General, symbolizing the warm hospitality and camaraderie shared between the two nations.
