Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar announced on Tuesday that security for Chinese citizens associated with both the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and non-CPEC projects will be strengthened across the province.

Presiding over a meeting focused on the security of Chinese nationals, Minister Lanjar emphasized the need for an integrated and effective security approach at all levels.

He directed a comprehensive review of all security protocols (SOPs) related to ongoing projects in Sindh.

The minister highlighted the importance of enhancing security measures for foreign and Chinese nationals working on these initiatives, underlining the support of the Sindh government in this endeavor.

To further bolster safety, Lanjar ordered regular meetings with representatives from various chambers, industrial zones, and other stakeholders to discuss the security of foreign experts and staff engaged in non-CPEC projects throughout the province.

During the meeting, officials were briefed on the existing security arrangements for Chinese nationals and experts involved in various projects.

Attendees included IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, DIGPs from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, and CPEC, along with other law enforcement agency representatives.
