The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on May 1 on account of Labour Day.The Sindh Services General Administration & Coordination Department issued a notification of the holiday Wednesday.

The Labour Day is observed every year on May 1 to celebrate the achievements of workers. Banks, offices and businesses remain closed on the day.

However, the federal government has not yet made any announcement about a holiday on Labour Day.
