Sindh Information Secretary NadeemurRehmanMemon, along with Director General of Public Relations Muhammad Saleem Khan and other officials, celebrated the 77th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Information Department headquarters. The occasion also featured a cake-cutting event. Secretary Memon extended congratulations to the nation, reflecting on the sacrifices made by the elders to secure the country’s independence. “Freedom is our most precious gift, and we should be grateful to Allah Almighty for granting us an independent state,” he remarked.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of unity, organization, and faith as outlined by the Father of the Nation, and spoke about the ongoing modernization efforts within the Information Department.
“We are enhancing the Electronic and Social Media Directorates to meet the challenges of this digital age,” he added. Director General Saleem Khan urged everyone to set aside differences and focus on the development of Sindh and the nation. “Freedom is a tremendous blessing with no substitute, and a free society is crucial for national development,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by Director Admin Mansoor Rajput, Director Advertisements Muhammad YousufKaboro, Director Press Information Akhtar Ali Sirheo, Director Publication Imtiaz Ali Joyo, Director Films HizbullahMemon, Deputy Directors Aleem Khan, Syed Umar Hashmi, SaeedMemon, Sahib Khan Bhand, and various employees. A rally led by Secretary Memon was also held earlier to commemorate the Independence Day.
