Secretary of the Human Rights Department, Tehseen Fatima, and Director of Human Rights, Agha Fakhur Hussain, emphasized the fundamental right of every individual to be informed about their basic rights. Speaking as the chief guest and guest of honor at an event organized by the Sindh Human Rights Department in collaboration with the District Administration South Karachi, they underscored the department’s commitment to ensuring the basic human rights of all citizens.

The event, titled “Empowerment of Girls: A Bright Future,” was held at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Government Girls Degree College in Lyari. The initiative aimed to promote girls’ rights and opportunities in the region, ensuring they receive the necessary skills and support to lead fulfilling lives.

Attendees included Muntha, the Assistant Commissioner of Lyari, Dr. Sahib Jan Badar, Nutrition Consultant from the Task Force Secretariat for Nutrition, Monazia Urat Foundation representatives, Fareeda from the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Mrs. Shamsa Jabeen from FPCCI, Sarwat Jahan, Principal of the college, and other key stakeholders.

Secretary Tehseen Fatima and Agha Fakhur Hussain distributed shields and certificates to outstanding students, recognizing their achievements and reinforcing the importance of education and empowerment in fostering a brighter future for girls in the region.
