Sindh Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon on handed over a cheque of Rs.5 million as grant in aid to Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ).
Director Press Information Muhammad Saleem Khan was also present on the occasion.
Talking with President Aijaz Ahmed and General secretary Ajiz Jamali, Minister Information said that the welfare of journalists was top priority of the government that’s why various press clubs and journalist bodies are being provided grant in aid to look after their members.
The KUJ office bearers thanked provincial government for the grant and said that this amount would be utilised for new health insurance cards for its members.
