A one day training workshop was conducted for operational deputy directors of Sindh Food Authority in collaboration with Nutrition International at Food Sciences and Technology Departments University of Karachi.
On the occasion Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha FakharHussain has said that Salt fortification training for SFA senior management serves the purpose of educating officials on the process of adding essential nutrients to salt, such as iodine, to address nutritional deficiencies in the population. DG SFA Agha FakharHussain said that almost 70 percent of the salt of Sindh is produced in Karachi and Karachi has been in focus for the purpose.
DG SFA Agha Fakhar said that the people who were engaged in salt business should get license from SFA. At the conclusion of workshop DG SFA Agha FakharHussain also gave away certificates to the participants of the workshop.
