Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has launched a public awareness campaign to alert residents about buildings deemed extremely dangerous across Karachi. Banners have been placed on these buildings, and announcements are being made via loudspeakers to inform the occupants. In anticipation of the upcoming monsoon rains, SBCA Director General Abdul Rashid Solangi has directed those warnings be issued once again to the residents and users of these hazardous buildings.

The notices urge them to vacate immediately to safeguard lives and property. The SBCA cautions against lingering around these buildings, as the rainwater infiltration could lead to sudden collapses or fire hazards due to short circuits. Banners have been prominently displayed on identified dangerous buildings in districts including South, Central, and East Karachi.

Under the leadership of Director of Demolition Abdul Sajad Khan, awareness campaigns and flag marches have commenced in various city areas to reinforce the message. The SBCA has also appealed to the public to report any precarious structures, defects, or substandard constructions within densely populated urban areas to the SBCA office, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation for safety.
