SBCA razes over 30 illegal buildings; crackdown intensifies

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has escalated its campaign against unauthorized constructions, demolishing more than 30 illegal buildings across various neighborhoods. Led by Director Abdul Sajjad Khan, the demolition squad targeted sites including Khudadad Colony, Liaquatabad, Kamal Memon Cemetery, PIB Colony, Liaquatabad, Paposh Nagar, Korangi Town, Nazimabad, Scheme 33 Chapel Garden, Firdous Cooperative Society, and Orangi Town.

Abdul RasheedSolangi, Director General of SBCA, affirmed the initiation of a comprehensive crackdown on illegal constructions, with complaint cells established citywide and the Anti-Encroachment Team conducting vigilant operations. Strict instructions have been issued to officers to ensure compliance within their jurisdictions.

Provincial Minister for Local Government, SaeedGhani, directed Abdul RasheedSolangi to eradicate all forms of illegal constructions from Karachi, emphasizing punitive measures against involved SBCA personnel. He urged Solangi to personally inspect various areas and vowed to eradicate illegal constructions from the city.
