Salahuddin ensures uninterrupted water supply

Chief Engineer of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC)  Syed Salahuddin Ahmed highlighted the corporation’s enthusiastic participation in observing World Water Day under the theme of ‘Water and Peace’.

Salahuddin Ahmed  underscored the significance of the theme, stating that it aims to raise awareness about the critical importance of fresh water and to draw attention to the global water crisis. Ahmed reiterated the corporation’s commitment to modernizing existing treatment plants, expanding distribution networks, implementing smart metering systems, and investing in sewage infrastructure to address these challenges effectively. Chief Engineer of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC)  Syed Salahuddin Ahmed emphasized the corporation’s active role in ensuring uninterrupted water supply to Karachi, emphasizing that access to clean water is essential for promoting peace and prosperity in the city.

On World Water Day, he reiterated the corporation’s resolve to deliver safe water to every institution, household, and street in Karachi, while also enhancing recycling and sewage systems to sustainably meet the needs of current and future generations.

World Water Day, observed annually by the United Nations since 1993, serves to highlight the importance of access to clean drinking water and to advocate for sustainable water management practices worldwide.
