Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman has approved the resolution to name the road from Powerhouse Chowrangi to 4K Chowrangi in District Central after SA Mustafa, who has rendered valuable services in the promotion of civil service and sports. According to details, SA Mustafa served as Collector of Customs and member FBR Karachi and retired in 1990.
He is credited with collecting revenue for the country to curb smuggling and introducing sales tax in Pakistan. Vice President of Pakistan Hockey Federation from 1979 to 1984 and President of Karachi Hockey Association from 1985 to 1990 and also a member of Federation of International Hockey (FIH), his role in promoting sports and especially hockey at national and international level. Awarded several national and international honors in recognition of his services in public service and sports, under Section 85 and 86 of the Sindh Local Government Act 2013, Municipal Corporation Karachi has declared public places.
