In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement (JKPRM) has paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs for rendering their lives for the freedom cause.
The JKPRM, after its executive committee meeting headed by party chairman, Jameel Ahmad and attended by Dr Musaib Ahmad, Abdul Rashid, Shafqat Mehmood and Mubashir Ahmad, expressed solidarity with family of martyred Tanzeel Ahmad in Srinagar and several families of detained Hurriyat leaders.
It urged the United Nations, European Union and OIC to play their role in resolving the Kashmir dispute as per the United Nations resolutions which will end war-like tension in the region.
It warned that peace would continue to elude South Asia unless the Kashmir dispute was resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The JKPRM, expressing grave concern over the plight of Kashmiri political detainees languishing in various jails of India and the territory, appealed to the human rights organizations to take notice of the conditions of the Hurriyet leaders, youth and political activists and take steps to end lawless law and rights abuses.—KMS
